Sarah Burton does it again this pre-fall season for Alexander McQueen. Short velvet dresses with laser-cut details called to mind medieval tunics, and generously cut capes with draped pendants were clearly inspired by the church, while high-necked dresses (with and without sleeves) added to the effortless beauty of the collection.
